During the meeting the two counterparts discussed conceptual issues of forming domestic and foreign policy, international agenda, situation in Ukraine and Canada. A particular attention was paid to the state and the prospects of Ukrainian-Canadian bilateral relations, including to the importance of people-to-people contacts, especially taking into account a numerous and active Ukrainian Canadian community.

Ambassador Prystaiko informed Mr.Rae about negotiations between Ukraine and the European Union on Association Agreement which is planned to be signed later this fall and is a key foreign policy priority for Ukraine.
