Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mélanie Joly, Canadian Minister of Justice Arif Virani, European Commissioner Didier Reynders, U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Criminal Justice Beth Van Schaack, Senator Ratna Omidvar, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin, Commissioner for Children's Rights Daria Herasymchuk, and Deputy Minister of Justice Iryna Mudra participated in an international conference on war crimes against Ukrainian children.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Canada, in collaboration with partners from The Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights and Massey College, hosted this important event. The conference brought together international experts, scholars, international law specialists, diplomats, and politicians to focus on our joint efforts to secure the return of over 19,000 Ukrainian children forcibly deported by Russia.

Through the combined efforts of partner governments, human rights advocates, and civil society organizations, we are also working on steps to hold Russia accountable for its crimes.
