Did you know that modern Ukrainian books can be found and borrowed for free at public libraries in Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal? Today is #ReadABookDay, making it the perfect occasion to remind everyone about the initiative of Ukraine's First Lady, Olena Zelenska, “Ukrainian Bookshelf,” which we were delighted to implement for the Ukrainian community in Canada.

Among other things, Russia destroys our libraries, our printing houses, and our books. Wherever we are, reading Ukrainian books in our native language helps us remain Ukrainians and protect our culture.

We invite you to visit the library in your city and choose books for yourself and your children.
