Today, we proudly raised the Ukrainian flag at Ottawa City Hall to mark Ukraine's Day of the National Flag.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us for this important event! Thank you, the Honourable Greg Fergus, M.P., Speaker of the House of Commons, Deputy Mayor, Mr. Rawlson King, Rear-Admiral the Honourable Rebecca Patterson, Senator, UCC National - Ukrainian Canadian Congress CEO Ihor Mikhalchyshyn, Gatineau City Councillor Mr. Louis Sabourin for joining us today.

More than 40 representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Ottawa, the Ukrainian community, and Canadian friends also joined Ukraine to celebrate this solemn day.

Deputy Head of Mission Andrii Bukvych, on behalf of the Ambassador of Ukraine Yuliya Kovaliv, addressed the guests with heartfelt words of gratitude.

Ottawa Ukrainian Children's Choir graced the ceremony with their beautiful performance of the Ukrainian and Canadian national anthems, filling the air with a powerful sense of unity and pride.

We thank you once again for joining us in honoring Ukraine’s flag, a powerful symbol of our unity and bravery. It’s inspiring to see the Ukrainian flag proudly displayed across Canada, from coast to coast to coast in the windows of Canadians homes who believe in democracy, sovereignty, and humanity.
