Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha expressed his gratitude to Canada for adopting a new package of sanctions against the Russian Federation. In his statement, the Minister emphasized that maximizing sanctions pressure on the aggressor is the most effective way to achieve peace.

“We highly value the efforts of Canada and other partners aimed at depriving Russia of the financial resources it uses to wage its war against Ukraine,” Andrii Sybiha noted.

The Minister also extended his special thanks to Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Anita Anand for the constructive meeting in Kananaskis and for Canada’s consistent support of Ukraine.
