22 February 2025 21:19

As part of "The Russo-Ukrainian War: Russia’s Information Warfare Strategies in Comparative Perspective" conference, the roundtable “Building Academic Resilience: The Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies” took place today.

During the discussion, Olga Budnyk, Advisor - Commissioner of the President  of Ukraine for the Fund of the President of Ukraine for Support of Education, Science, and Sports, presented a new initiative launched with the support of First Lady of Ukraine, Олена Зеленська. The initiative focuses on:
✅ Uniting foreign researchers dedicated to Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar cultures, history, languages, and literature
✅ Establishing a shared platform for the development of Ukrainian studies on an international level

The roundtable featured insightful contributions from distinguished experts, including Natalia Khanenko-Friesen, Serhy Yekelchyk, and Oleksandr Pankieiev, who discussed the importance of expanding and preserving Ukrainian studies worldwide in the face of ongoing challenges.

We invite universities and academic institutions interested in strengthening Ukrainian studies to join the coalition and contribute to this important initiative.
