Today, on the occasion of Remembrance Day, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada, Yuliya Kovaliv, and the Embassy’s Defence Attaché, Andriy Shmilyk, took part in the official commemorative events in Ottawa. Together with Canadian partners and the community, they honoured the memory of the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for peace, freedom, and shared values.
Special tribute was paid to Ukrainian-Canadian veterans, whose contributions to Canada’s legacy of service continue to inspire generations.

On this day, we are once again reminded of the value of peace and pay respect to those who continue to fight for it today.
