Today, February 20, Ukraine and the world commemorate the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred - Ukrainians who gave their lives for freedom and dignity during the Revolution of Dignity. This year marks the 11th anniversary of the tragic events on Maidan, which forever changed the course of Ukraine’s history. Their sacrifice, courage, and resilience continue to serve as an inspiration in the ongoing struggle for a free future.

On this day, the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada joined the "Angels of Memory" silent tribute. We adorned trees with white paper angels - a symbol of the purity of the souls who ascended to the heavens and our eternal remembrance of them.

Heroes do not die. They live on in our hearts, in the actions that carry forward their fight, and in every step Ukraine takes toward comprehensive, just, and lasting peace.
