Today, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada, Yuliya Kovaliv, had an engaging conversation with uOttawa students about the historical events shaping the future of Ukraine
and the world.
The meeting, organized by The Chair of Ukrainian Studies/ Chaire d'études ukrainiennes under the leadership of Dr. Dominique Arel together with University of Ottawa Ukrainian Students' Club - OUSC, became a platform for analyzing Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, its consequences for the international order, Canada and Ukraine’s place in shaping a new security architecture.
The discussion covered not only current political events but also how Ukraine is countering hybrid threats, building international partnerships, and changing the global discourse on democracy, justice, and just and lasting peace.
We sincerely thank the organizers and students for their interest in Ukraine, thoughtful questions, and their eagerness to understand complex international processes.
