A meeting was set with several East European ambassadors in Ottawa.

Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird once again condemned Russia for its most recent actions in Ukraine.

It was also announced that Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird will be leaving next week on a multi-nation tour of Eastern Europe to discuss the situation. 

John Baird will travel to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Latvia and Estonia to meet with key counterparts to discuss the ongoing situation in Ukraine. This will be the Minister’s third visit to the region in recent months since the start of the crisis in Ukraine.
