The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (MFA) and the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection continue to work jointly to create new opportunities for Ukrainian producers in foreign markets and to ensure access to Ukrainian goods. Thanks to this teamwork, Ukrainian exporters gained access to 16 new foreign markets in 2024.

These significant achievements demonstrate that Ukraine’s control system is recognized by key trading partners such as China, Canada, the USA, and the EU member states. Over the past decade, more than 30 international evaluations have been successfully conducted.

"We understand that during the full-scale aggression, supporting Ukraine's economy is critically important. Amid challenges in the domestic market, exports become particularly significant as a means to attract external resources to the national economy and create opportunities for Ukrainian producers. For us, assisting our companies in accessing new foreign markets is a strategic priority. The MFA and the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection act as the key to opening doors for trade. We negotiate with governments and partners on permits, certifications, trade liberalization, and the admission of Ukrainian products. Last year, this work enabled access to 16 new markets, and we plan to achieve even greater results in 2025," said Andrii Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Efforts continue with international partners to expand sales of various product categories, including poultry products, live large and small livestock, beef and pork, milk and dairy products, honey, apples, blueberries and cherries, peas and beans, onions, wheat flour, fish and seafood, and reproductive materials.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection will continue to work together to open new markets for Ukrainian exports, providing support to producers, removing technical trade barriers, and ensuring state guarantees for compliance with partner countries’ requirements.
