During the meeting they agreed that strengthening the rule of law and creation of a powerful middle class remain to be one of the pressing tasks for Ukraine.

Ambassador Prystaiko emphasized the willingness to intensify Ukraine-Canada contacts and in particular a business component. They also discussed Ukraine’s European integration in the light of negotiations on Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Canada as well as that of Canada with the European Union.
