January 31, 2013 Defence, Military, Air and Naval Attaché to the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada, Colonel Ihor Likarenko and program Director Military Training and Cooperation of the Ministry of National Defence of Canada  Mr. Andrew Rasiulis signed the Bilateral Cooperation Plan between the Department of National Defence of Canada and the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine for 2013.

Strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense will joint participation units of the armed forces in multilateral military exercises and training Ukrainian officers on language courses in Canada.
