Ukraine has received a second tranche of approximately USD 1.7 billion from Canada as part of the G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration (ERA) for Ukraine initiative.
“We continue, together with our international partners, to consistently implement a mechanism that holds Russia financially accountable for its crimes in Ukraine. This year alone, Canada has already provided around USD 3.4 billion through the ERA mechanism. This is a significant contribution to supporting Ukraine’s financial stability. The funds will help cover urgent state budget expenditures,” stated the Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Serhii Marchenko.
In total, Canada’s contribution to the ERA initiative amounts to CAD 5 billion, of which CAD 4.8 billion has already been disbursed to the state budget.
