On the eve of Europe Day, Ambassador of Ukraine Yuliya Kovaliv took part in the Meeting of the EU Heads of Mission in Canada, organized by the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Canada, Geneviève Tuts.
The meeting focused on key aspects of Ukraine–EU cooperation, including:
🔹 Ukraine’s progress in implementing EU integration reforms,
🔹 the current situation on the front lines,
🔹 the consequences of massive Russian missile strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure and the urgent challenges facing the energy sector.
Ambassador Kovaliv emphasized that European integration remains a strategic priority for Ukraine — one that unites the efforts of the Government, Parliament, civil society, and the entire Ukrainian people.
Ukraine highly values the unity and firm stance of EU member states in countering Russian aggression and supporting Ukraine’s European aspirations. We are deeply grateful to our European partners for their ongoing political, economic, defense, and humanitarian support, which strengthens Ukraine’s ability to resist the aggressor, implement essential reforms, and move forward with confidence.
Today, Ukraine is already part of Europe. We are defending the EU’s eastern border — and the very values of freedom and democracy it stands for.
