On the Occasion of the 210th Anniversary of the Kobzar’s Birth, Toronto Hosts Special Screenings of the Multimedia Exhibition "Immersive World of Taras Shevchenko"
To mark the 210th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko's birth, special screenings of the multimedia exhibition "Immersive World of Taras Shevchenko" took place at the Lighthouse Immersive Gallery in Toronto.
Ukrainian students from Thornlea Secondary School shared stories about the life and works of Ukraine’s greatest poet with their Canadian classmates.
Today, the exhibition "Immersive World of Taras Shevchenko" offers a unique opportunity to engage with Shevchenko's masterpieces through immersive technologies, preserving them for future generations.
The "Immersive World of Taras Shevchenko" exhibition is a Ukrainian-Canadian co-production. It was created with the participation of producers Natalia Deliyeva (Ukraine), Valeriy Kostiuk (Canada), and the Taras Shevchenko National Museum (Ukraine). The project is under the artistic direction of Taisia Poda (Ukraine), with a musical score by composer Timur Polyanskyi (Ukraine).
Since its premiere in Odesa in 2021, the exhibition has been seen by nearly 50,000 viewers worldwide — in Canada (Toronto, Winnipeg), the United States (Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit), France (Paris), Germany (Berlin, Munich), Japan (Tokyo), and the UAE (Dubai).
