On September 22, 2025, a joint webinar on investment opportunities for Canadian companies in Ukraine was held with the participation of the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada, UkraineInvest, the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine, and the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce.

The event brought together representatives of the governments of Ukraine and Canada, business leaders, and international investors to discuss real ways of attracting Canadian investment into strategic sectors of Ukraine’s economy.

Ambassador-Designate of Ukraine to Canada, Andrii Plakhotniuk, addressed the participants with welcoming remarks. In his speech, he emphasized that even during Russia’s aggression, Ukraine remains a land of opportunities. Since 2022, more than 700,000 new businesses have been registered. Global giants such as Nestlé, Fairfax, Coca-Cola, and Bayer are successfully operating in Ukraine and continue to expand their investments. The overall cost of Ukraine’s recovery is estimated at USD 524 billion over the next decade. This makes Ukraine the largest economic and reconstruction project in Europe. Considering this, Ambassador Plakhotniuk called on Canadian businesses to invest in reconstruction projects and become active partners in Ukraine’s recovery.

Practical examples from companies already working in the Ukrainian market;
Details on financial tools, state support, and risk insurance mechanisms;
An overview of priority sectors – energy, logistics, manufacturing, telecommunications, healthcare, and science.
