Today at the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada, we lowered the national flag in memory of the innocent lives lost in the Russian missile strike on Sumy.
On April 13 – Palm Sunday, a sacred day for millions of Ukrainians – Russia launched yet another brutal attack on civilians.
34 people were killed and 119 injured, including 2 children killed and 15 wounded.
On Monday, April 14, Ukrainian embassies around the world lowered their flags and opened Books of Condolence to honour the victims of this horrific attack.
We are deeply grateful to everyone in Canada and across the world who stands with Ukraine and acknowledges the unbearable human toll of this war.
We remember. We mourn. We endure.
