On October 4, 2012 Charge d’affaires of Ukraine in Canada a.i. Mykhaylo Khomenko took part in the Babyn Yar Commemoration
In his speech Mykhaylo Khomenko told about the commemoration of this tragic event in Ukraine, paid the solemn tribute and respect to all innocent victims of Babyn Yar. He also emphasized that such a tragedy must never happen again.

The Commemoration, in which participated the representatives of the City authorities, civic organizations and the consulates general of Israel and Russia, took place in Jewish Community Centre in Montreal.
