On September 9, 2019, the Ukrainian Honey Evening was held as part of the 46th Apimondia 2019 International Beekeeping Congress and Exhibition.
Speaking at the event, Trade Counsellor of the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada, Petro Petrenko, outlined the main benefits of the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Canada and called on Ukrainian producers and exporters of honey products to conquer the Canadian market. He stressed that assisting Ukrainian entrepreneurs in export are one of the priorities of the Embassy.
Representatives of the beekeeping industry from all over the world participated in the Ukrainian Honey Evening, organized jointly by the Association of Honey Exporters of Ukraine and the Union of Beekeepers of Ukraine with the support of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization and the EBRD.
Apimondia - The International Federation of Beekeepers' Associations, which promotes the cooperation of apiaries, scientists, exporters, and legislators in the field of apiculture by organizing congresses and symposia every two years. This year's Congress is held in Montreal from September 8 to September 12. Ukraine is represented by a United National Booth.
