Ukrainian film "Brothers. The Final Confession" was performed in Ottawa

An award-winning psychological drama by a debuting director Victoria Trofimenko is based on the prize-winning novel, "Bumblebee Honey" by a famous Swedish author, Torgny Lindgren, filmed in the Carpathian Mountains of Ukraine. This is a very personal story of two brothers and their mutual hatred for 40 years.

The event was a part of the Ukrainian Canadian Film Festival Ukrainian-Canadian festival. The screening was  supported by the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada, Ukrainian Canadian Professional and Business Association of Ottawa, and Ukrainian Canadian Congress (Ottawa branch).

The event was attended by Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada Andriy Shevchenko and his wife Hanna Homonai.

The funds raised through the event supportwww.prostheticsforukraine.com by Canada - Ukraine International Assistance Fund - CUIA Fund, as well as Ukraine-related cinema development.

The festival began in January and continues until July, offering screenings of artistic, short and experimental pieces, as well as documentaries about human rights and recent events, the Revolution of Dignity, the Soviet deportation of Crimean Tatars, Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the 30th anniversary of the Chornobyl catastrophe, the 25th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, and 125 years of Ukrainian settlements in Canada.
