Andriy Shevchenko met with the Ukrainian community in Montreal as part of events dedicated to 75th anniversary of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress and the 125th anniversary of Ukrainian settlement in Canada.

During the meeting the current situation in the East of Ukraine, ways of countering Russian aggression and the prospects of Ukrainian-Canadian relations were discussed.

Also, the Ambassador met with the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) President Eugene Czolij and discussed issues of deepening cooperation between the Embassy of Ukraine and the UWC, including providing international support for our state.

While in Montreal, Ambassador visited 11 years Mykola Nyzhnikovskoho from Ukraine who thanks to the efforts of the Canadian-Ukrainian Foundation and concerned Canadians undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at the Montreal clinic «Shriners Hospital for Children».
