Col. Gen. Stepan Poltorak, Minister of Defence of Ukraine, held talks with Mr. Jason Kenney, Minister of National Defence of Canada.

Ukraine’s Minister of Defence thanked his counterpart for the support provided by Canada to Ukraine.

“Canada is the first country coming to help Ukraine in the context of the RF aggression. There is so much distance between our countries but we’re soulmates in our striving to be independent and have peaceful sky over our countries,” Col. Gen. Stepan Poltorak stressed. He underlined that Canada provided very important assistance and support.

Defence Ministries underlined the importance of future international training of Ukrainian and Canadian instructors.

“Canada supports Ukraine today. This support and help are sincere as a lot of Canadians have Ukrainian origin,” Mr. Jason Kenney remarked.
