71 years ago, on May 18, 1944, almost all Tatar people were deported from Crimea to Middle Asia and Siberia.
The Embassy of Ukraine in Canada, with co-sponsorship of the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Institute of Eastern Christian Studies at Saint Paul University, invites you to the demonstration of the film “Haitarma: history of one people” that depicts the tragic events of that days. The film was created by the Tatar TV station ATR in 2013; today the mentioned TV channel was banned by the Russian occupation authorities.
The film is demonstrated in Russian with subtitles in English.
