Launch of SME Call for Proposals
The goal of this call for proposals is to seek out three to five projects from Canadian organizations that would promote the competitiveness and growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Ukraine. The selected projects would complement the work by Ukrainian stakeholders in local economic development and give practical business tools and resources to SMEs, especially those managed by women.
Countering Transnational Organized Crime in Ukraine
This project will enhance Ukraine’s border security by increasing its monitoring, enforcement and patrol capacities through training and the provision of targeted equipment.
Strengthening Nuclear Security in Ukraine
This project will strengthen security and defensive measures at key nuclear energy stations in Ukraine and build national capacities for the prevention of illicit trafficking of nuclear and other radiological materials.
Chernobyl Shelter Fund
Canada’s contribution to the Chernobyl Shelter Fund will assist in the completion of a permanent, secure containment shelter over the Unit 4 reactor at Chornobyl, the site of the world’s worst nuclear accident.
