During the meeting the political situation in Ukraine and provocative actions of the Russian side in southern and eastern Ukraine was discussed.

The sides talked about the current state of relations between Ukraine and Canada.

G.Selinger said that Ukraine is considered by the Government of Manitoba as an extremely important and potential partner. Of particular interest in this context is cooperation in the field of agriculture, aerospace , IT.

Separately, the issue of the Manitoba experience in the development of hydroelectric power stations was discussed  , as well as significant technical developments of ther energy transfer over long distances.

Government of Manitoba is expanding educational programs for international students. 

Also as part of the Canadian program CIDA, Manitoba has implemented a number of social programs for Ukraine.
